I grew up in the midwest along the Mississippi. After high school, I traveled the U. S , first by hitch hiking and then in a large truck that i converted into a rolling home.....spending time in California and the Southwest. i attended photography school in Chicago where i fell in love with the documentary style of photography by Robert Frank and Eugene Smith.
I found that most of the images that interested me artistically were right in front of me. I really had more than enough material right in my own life and travels."
i started painting and playing giutar while living in Arizona. Just as with photography, i was most interested in what was going on in the world around me.
In the past few years i have started making metal sculptures portraying impressionistic people, bugs, fish and flowers and objects for what ever reason."
what i enjoy most is the creative process. i would much rather make a movie than watch one. i like to entertain myself rather than be entertained if you know what i mean. i like to let things happen rather than try to force them. perfection happens. it is always full of mistakes. just like everything else.
